The manual 5.5lb Compaction Hammer conforms to ASTM and AASHTO standards. The hammer has a 2 in. diameter face with a 12" drop. They are provided with a loosely fitting guide sleeve to control drop height without restricting the free fall of the weight. The weight is mounted on the end of a rod. Guide sleeves have four vent holes at each end to allow free air flow during use.

M-100 Automatic Soil Compactor w/ Molds & Hammers
Unit is designed to automatically compact soil samples rapidly and to produce the accuracy of hand compaction. For standard or modified compaction tests with 5.5 lb. hammer with 12" height of drop or 10 lb. hammer with 18" drop. Compactor accommodates 4" or 6" I.D. molds. 4" round hammer, or 6" pie-shaped hammer compensate for sample drop during compaction. The weight is concentrated at the foot, allowing free fall of the rammer. Hammer changes are made from in front of the compactor.
